本スタンダードは，global Liquid Chemicals Committeeで技術的に承認されている。現版は2010年8月27日，global Audits and Reviews Subcommitteeにて発行が承認された。2010年10月にwww.semi.orgで入手可能となる。初版は1995年発行。前版は2005年11月発行。

 

本文書の目的は，半導体産業で使用されるトリメチルホウ酸に対する要求条件を標準化し，またこれらのスタンダードをサポートする試験手順を標準化することである。試験方法は，統計的に有効な結果を示している。本文書はトリメチルホウ酸に対して要求が認められたグレードのガイドも示す。ガイドの場合は，試験方法は統計的に有効となっていない場合がある。
