本試験方法は，Global Compound Semiconductor Committeeで技術的に承認されたもので， 日本地区化合物半導体材料委員会が直接責任を負うものである。 にて承認された。1999年8 月にまずSEMI On Line で入手可能となり、1999 年9 月発行に至る。
この文書の目的は抵抗率を測定し、かつVan der Pauw法によって半絶縁GaAs 単結晶のホール移動度を決定する方法を規定することである。 のための簡易で実際的な方法を規定する。
