本測定方法は、 Global Flat Pan Display Committee で技術的に承認されたもので、 Japanese FPD Materials and Components Committee が直接責任を負うものである。現版は、 2003 年4 月28 日日本の地域規格委員会にて承認されている。 2003 年6 月にまずwww.semi.org で入手可能となり、 2003 年7 月発行に続く。初版は1996 年12 月発行。
この文書は、触針式、光学触針式測定器および光学干渉計式平面度測定器を使用した、FPDガラス基板の表面うねりの測定方法について規定する。
