本基準は、global Liquid Chemicals Committee で技術的に承認されている。現版は20 10年8月27日、global Audits and Reviews Subcommittee にて発行が承認された。 .org で入手可能となる。 初版は1995年発行。前版は2005 年11 月発行。
本書の目的は、半導体産業で使用されるトリメチルホウ酸に対する要求条件を標準化する、またこれらの基準を試験する手順を標準化サポートすることである。本書はトリメチルホウ酸に対して要求が認められたグレードのガイドも示している。 ガイドの場合は、試験方法は統計的に有効になっていない場合がある。
