本スタンダードは，global Flat Panel Display – Materials & Components Committeeで技術的に承認されている。現版は2010年5月21日，global Audits and Reviews Subcommitteeにて発行が承認された。2010年6月にwww.semi.orgで入手可能となる。初版は2003年7月発行。

 

本スタンダードは，FPD偏光板の外観・厚さ・光学特性を測定するための実施要領を確立する。これらの方法は，製造，品質管理および開発業務に応用することができる。
