本基準は、Global Physical Interfaces and Carriers Committee で技術的に承認されています。現版は 2010 年 4 月 30日、Global Audits and Reviews Subcommittee にて発行が承認されました。 .org で入手可能となる。 初版は2000年2 月発行、前版は2004 年11 月発行。
本スタンダードは、レチクル（フォトマスク）あるいは蓄積回路（ IC ）製造施設において、6インチまたは230 mmのレチクルを搬送および保管するために用いられるレチクルSMIF POD （ RSP ）について規定する。
